Stereoflow

Is our artist line-up for Tangi Street Art Festival 2025

Born in 1982, Adi Dharma — widely known as Stereoflow — began his journey in the late 1990s as a graffiti writer, inspired by the beats, rhythm, and style of hip-hop culture. By 2008, he had launched a professional art career, expanding his practice to include murals, paintings, sculptures, and installations. His works have been showcased internationally, from Europe (France, Germany, Spain) to Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand) and beyond (United States, Canada, Australia).

In Indonesia, Stereoflow’s work has been recognized in major exhibitions such as Biennale Jogja and ICAD (Indonesia Contemporary Art & Design). Collaborations with leading international brands have further solidified his presence in contemporary art and design. His visual language blends abstract, urban-contemporary forms with his graffiti roots, reflecting a dynamic, rhythm-driven approach. For Stereoflow, art is an experience, akin to music — it is meant to be felt rather than strictly explained, leaving space for interpretation and emotional connectio

Stereoflow is one of the invited artists for the third edition of Tangi Street Art Festival, held from 11–17 May 2025. The festival is guided by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, emphasizing harmony in three essential relationships: spirituality, humanity, and nature.

Through this theme, artists explore connections with the divine (Parahyangan), the community (Pawongan), and the natural world (Palemahan). Stereoflow’s participation brings a spontaneous and rhythm-driven perspective to the festival, merging his urban-contemporary style with the serene landscapes and cultural rhythms of Bali. His mural interacts with the surrounding paddy fields and village life, capturing the essence of place and the cycles of nature. Through his work, the festival showcases not only artistic skill but also the ability of art to bridge environment, community, and creativity — reflecting the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana in both spirit and form.

Stereoflow arrived in Bali with great excitement, immediately drawn to the festival wall, surrounded by lush paddy fields — a landscape unlike anything he experiences in Jakarta. He approached his work spontaneously, letting his feelings and intuition guide the creative process. Recognized as a leading figure in Indonesian graffiti, he brought both skill and presence to the project.

His mural, “Seremoni Harmoni”, uses a vibrant array of colors — sometimes clashing, sometimes seemingly random — to reflect diversity. These elements are carefully composed into a structured, harmonious visual, symbolizing unity within contrast. The piece serves as an analogy for life in Desa Guwang, where people of varied backgrounds coexist peacefully, bound together by a shared culture of mutual respect and collaboration.

Through this approach, Stereoflow transforms the wall into more than just a visual spectacle. It becomes a reflection of the community’s rhythm, energy, and diversity. By engaging directly with the environment and local culture, he translates everyday interactions, natural surroundings, and human connections into a dynamic, abstract mural. The result is a work that embodies both spontaneity and harmony, capturing the spirit of place while reinforcing the festival’s theme of connection and balance.
