Zolalongor is a visual artist recognized for his captivating and distinctive works. In 2017, he decided to pursue art full-time, focusing on creating characters that reflect his personal journey and inner world. His work explores themes of self-transformation, resilience, and individuality, often reflecting a strong sense of ego balanced by vulnerability. Zolalongor is best known for his animal characters, which combine beauty and intrigue with distinctive colors and simple hatchings, making his style instantly recognizable. One of his signature features is the use of hollow-eyed animals, adding an enigmatic and thought-provoking dimension to his art. Through his characters, he invites viewers to reflect on identity, personal growth, and the process of transformation. His pieces not only demonstrate technical skill but also convey emotional depth, encouraging audiences to connect with the stories behind each creation. With a focus on both aesthetics and narrative, Zolalongor continues to build a body of work that is visually engaging, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally resonant. His art transforms spaces into immersive experiences, inviting dialogue and reflection.
Zolalongor was one of the invited artists for the first edition of Tangi Street Art Festival, held from 1 May to 4 June 2023 under the theme “Paras Paros,” meaning “spirit of togetherness.” Each artist was given one week to work on their mural before the next artist began, creating a continuous and evolving street art experience across Bali. The festival aimed to use street art as a tool to inspire and uplift local youth, transforming public spaces into areas of shared creativity and dialogue. Through murals, performances, and workshops, the festival fostered collaboration, cultural exchange, and reflection on community life. Zolalongor’s participation contributed to the dynamic narrative of the festival, demonstrating how individual artistic expression can combine with collective experience to inspire, provoke thought, and bring people together.

Zolalongor’s mural at Tangi Street Art Festival reflects his distinctive visual language and personal journey. In this work, he created symbolic animal characters that embody courage, transformation, and the willingness to start anew. While the forms are intentionally imperfect, they carry a sense of resilience and optimism, encouraging viewers to embrace growth and change in their own lives. His use of bold colors, simple hatchings, and hollow-eyed animals creates a sense of intrigue, inviting reflection on both the artwork and the self.
Every stroke and evolution of form in the mural reflects Zolalongor’s tireless spirit to grow and face challenges with unwavering confidence. By situating this artwork in a public space, he connects personal exploration with communal engagement, aligning with the festival’s theme of togetherness. The mural becomes more than an aesthetic object—it is a visual testament to transformation, a narrative that speaks of hope, courage, and persistence. Through his work, Zolalongor demonstrates how street art can act as a mirror for viewers’ own journeys, inspiring reflection, dialogue, and a sense of shared human experience. This mural serves as both a personal statement and a communal beacon, exemplifying the transformative potential of art in public spaces.
