Far East Mural Project

Far East Mural Project is an international artist residency and mural program initiated in Bali, Indonesia. The program focuses on supporting women muralists and street artists through a short, intensive residency that combines artistic production, cultural research, and community-based engagement.

The program takes place in selected locations in Bali, responding directly to local social, cultural, and spatial contexts. It is designed for women artists who work in public space and are interested in developing site-responsive murals through research and dialogue rather than purely aesthetic production.

Far East Mural Project exists to address the structural imbalance within the global street art scene, where women artists remain underrepresented, under-supported, and often excluded from international platforms. By creating a focused and intentional space, the program aims to build visibility, networks, and long-term artistic exchange grounded in respect, care, and local relevance.
