Tangi Melali
16 Mei 2025
Taking inspiration from the Balinese word melali (to wander or explore), Tangi Melali offered artists and the organizing team an opportunity to connect with the island’s cultural roots. On 16 May 2025, participants visited two key cultural sites in Guwang Village: Hidden Canyon Guwang and Tenun Setia Cap Cili, one of Gianyar’s oldest traditional weaving workshops.
Led by local cultural figures, the journey offered insights into the village’s spirituality, craftsmanship, and natural landscape. More than a field trip, Tangi Melali was a moment of cultural exchange, deepening the emotional connection between artists and the host community, while embodying the festival’s spirit of respect, learning, and collaboration.
