Mask Painting Workshop

As part of the Colour Connect Program 2025, the Tangi team had the honour of visiting Japan to promote Indonesian culture, particularly the rich traditions of Bali, to the younger generation.
In the Yodogawa area of Osaka, the Tangi Street Art Festival team designed a creative workshop where children learned to paint Balinese Topeng (masks) and decorate them with traditional Balinese motifs. The activity encouraged cultural appreciation and hands-on creativity, allowing the children to experience the beauty of Indonesian heritage through art.
This cross-cultural exchange became a heartwarming moment of connection, where creativity bridged language and cultural differences, reflecting the spirit of Colour Connect, celebrating unity through art.
