Tangi Behind The Wall

Tangi Behind the Wall” is an intergenerational artist talk that brought together four collectives representing different eras of Bali’s street art movement: Bali Yang Binal, Suksma Bali, Rurung Gallery, and Smots. Each collective shared stories about their creative process, artistic values, and the challenges they faced during a time when street art was not yet widely accepted. This session became an important effort to record and reflect on the evolution of Balinese street art.

Moderated by Savitri Sastrawan and hosted at Berbagi Ruang dan Kopi, the discussion created a warm, inclusive environment for creative exchange. The enthusiasm of those who attended reflected the growing need to nurture artistic dialogue and bridge generations. “Tangi Behind the Wall” stands as a milestone for preserving stories and strengthening connections within Bali’s art community.
